📚 The Objective
Google Books possesses a massive library of scanned texts. However, these are currently fully accessible restricted; they are primarily visible only as tiny snippets within search results.
The Goal: Find a scalable method to extract the full scans.
Bounty Summary
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Reward Amount | \200,000$ |
| Primary Target | Google Books full scans |
| Secondary Targets | Large-scale AI company collections (especially rare books) |
| Requirement | Must be a scalable method |
🚀 How to Proceed
If you believe you have a viable approach, follow these steps:
- Develop a working prototype.
- Contact the Anna's Archive team early in the process.
- Collaborate on scaling the extraction method.
def claim_bounty(method_is_scalable, data_is_complete):
if method_is_scalable and data_is_complete:
return "Reward: $200,000"
else:
return "Keep refining the prototype."
The "Insider" Appeal
The team acknowledges that for a current Google employee, a sum of \200,000$ might not be a primary motivator. However:
"You'd be hailed a legendary archivist if you're able to sneak out this data."
📊 Workflow Process
Note: This bounty is specifically interested in collections that capture rare books that are otherwise unavailable to the public.
