Git hosting that never leaves Europe
Pushin.eu: Git Hosting That Stays in Europe
Pushin.eu is a dedicated Git hosting service designed to ensure your code never leaves the European Union. It provides both public and private repositories on a platform engineered for actual humans, specifically avoiding the current trend of AI-driven bloat.
We are committed to blocking "slop," refusing to use your intellectual property to train LLMs, and prioritizing rock-solid availability over flashy, unstable AI gimmicks.
Current Status: We are currently in an invite-only beta. General availability is expected in early 2027.
🛡️ Our Five Core Pillars
We aren't just another place to store code; we are building a sanctuary for developers.
- European Sovereignty: By staying 100% in the EU, we bypass the
US CLOUD Actand foreign political volatility. You get GDPR compliance and a privacy-first architecture without the risk of a distant vendor locking you out. - Anti-Slop Philosophy: We fight "reputation hunters" who spam low-quality PRs just to pad their profiles. We block the noise to prevent maintainer burnout.
- Reliability over Hype: While others chase AI features, we obsess over Developer Experience (DX) and uptime.
- Zero AI Training: Your code is yours. No training models, no "partners," no hidden opt-outs in the fine print.
- High Availability: We engineer relentlessly for uptime because shipping code shouldn't depend on whether a "shiny" feature crashed the server.
Comparison: Pushin.eu vs. Traditional Giants

🛠️ Technical Specifications & Workflow
The Import & Sync Engine
Pushin.eu makes it easy to migrate your work while keeping your credentials secure.
- GitHub Import: A local process that brings over your full Git history, labels, issues, and merged/closed PRs (including comments). Because it runs on your machine, your GitHub token is never stored on our servers.
- Generic Git Remotes: Any Git remote can be imported, though these are "Git-only" as they lack a metadata API.
- GitHub Mirroring: A read-only, one-way sync. GitHub remains the source of truth, and Pushin.eu follows along. You can pause or delete this at any time.
Connectivity & Integration
We maintain compatibility with the tools you already use:
- Protocols: Push and pull via
SSHorHTTPS(using personal access tokens). - REST API: Available at
/api/v1. It uses GitHub-compatible request/response shapes to simplify porting scripts. - The
punCLI: A dedicated terminal tool to manage your repos, reviews, comments, and pull requests.
Example CLI usage:

pun repo list --all
📅 Roadmap to General Availability
The project was initiated in April 2026. To ensure quality, we are following this checklist:
- Establish bare-metal infrastructure in Paris.
- Implement basic Git hosting and REST API.
- Launch "Vouching System" (similar to Tangled) for reputation.
- Implement contribution limits for new users.
- Roll out individual and team subscription tiers.
- General Availability (Early 2027).
The "Anti-Slop" Strategy
To maintain high quality, we use a multi-layered filter:
- Invite-only access Ensures users are real people.
- Vouching Contributors build a trusted reputation.
- Signal Analysis PRs are assessed based on reputation and metadata.
- De-emphasis Low-quality contributions are marked and hidden, leaving the final call to the maintainer.
❓ FAQ
Who is behind this? I'm Peter Ullrich, a software developer based in Leiden, Netherlands, with a decade of experience. I'm building this alongside my Labrador, Bella. I've previously created Indie Courses and Letter to Yourself.
Where is the data actually stored? We use bare-metal servers operated within Scaleway's Paris datacenters. Since Scaleway is a French company and we have no US failover regions, there is zero CLOUD Act exposure.
How much will it cost? Once we leave beta, pricing for teams and individuals will be competitive with GitHub and GitLab.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. git clone provides your full history. For metadata (issues/PRs), you can use our REST API.
What is the mathematical goal for uptime? We strive for a reliability coefficient where:
