📣 Open Role: Marketing Manager

Zep is seeking a technical marketer to lead B2B demand generation. You will be a "team of one," leveraging AI agents to perform the work of an entire marketing department.

📋 Role Overview

🎯 Your Mission

You will own the entire journey of how developers and engineering leaders discover and adopt Zep. This includes managing the website, blog, email, and social presence. While the founders provide the high-level strategy and core content, you handle the production and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Discoverability: Optimize for search and answer engines (since buyers now ask Claude or ChatGPT before Google). This involves llms.txt, structured data, and site architecture.
• Content Distribution: Adapt founder-led drafts for various channels and manage the editorial calendar.
• Lifecycle Marketing: Manage the funnel from initial signup to sales calls, including outbound enterprise campaigns.
• Agentic Operations: Build and maintain the agents that monitor competitors, generate content, and report KPIs.
• Analytics: Own the measurement of the funnel from first touch to signup.

📅 The First 90 Days

• Day 30: Your agent-driven pipeline for social and blog cadence is fully operational.
• Day 60: The funnel is fully instrumented from first touch to signup; search/answer engine baselines are established.
• Day 90: You fully own the demand generation metrics and have a defensible strategic roadmap.

🔍 Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record of B2B demand gen for technical products (show us the pipeline!).
• Can produce long-form content that engineers actually read.
• Uses Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools as a core part of their workflow, not just as a novelty.
• Is comfortable with code (e.g., editing a site or configuring an integration).
• Thrives as a solo operator.

Bonus points for experience in dev tools, infra, AI, or familiarity with graph databases and retrieval.

This role is NOT a fit if:

• You rely on agencies or contractors for production work.
• You aren't using coding agents and don't plan to.
• You require a pre-existing playbook or multiple layers of sign-off to move.
