📢 CCC Summons All "Model Citizens" to 40C3

Date of Announcement: 12 September 2026
Languages: EN | DE

The rumors are true: the Chaos Computer Club is officially organizing 40C3, scheduled to take place from December 27th to 30th, 2026. This event stands as the premier hacker gathering in Europe, serving as a vital intersection for technology, societal critique, and the defense of civil liberties.

🏗️ A New Space for Creativity

Having transitioned to the Hamburg Exhibition halls, the Congress now boasts an expansive footprint. This increased capacity allows for a more vibrant, colorful, and imaginative execution of the event. We are extending an invitation to all "galactic beings" to join us in this massive shared arena.

The Philosophy: "Model Citizens"

This year's theme, Model Citizens, is a provocative reflection on the state of our world.

"We aim to collaboratively architect new societal frameworks, acknowledging that the so-called 'Model Citizens' of previous eras have left our planet in a fragile and precarious condition."

The CCC views the Congress as a living prototype. While the current global trend shifts toward authoritarianism and the dominance of the strong over the weak, 40C3 champions a different path:

• Solidarity over isolation.
• Personal Responsibility over the desire for a "strong hand" to fix everything.
• Proactive Creation over mere rearguard defensive actions.

In mathematical terms, we view the community as: $\text{Community} = \sum (\text{Diversity} + \text{Inspiration} + \text{Mutual Need})$
