Muse Gadgets

Muse Gadgets represent a frontier of open-source hardware designed specifically for your Muse ecosystem. These are DIY devices that you assemble and program yourself to extend the capabilities of your Muse.

By utilizing our provided SDKs, you can program a standard ESP32 board or configure a Raspberry Pi. This allows you to bridge Muse with a variety of peripherals, including:

  • Visual displays
  • Physical buttons
  • Environmental sensors
  • Mechanical actuators
  • ...and any other components you have on your workbench.

🛠️ 01 / Create Your Own Hardware

We have released the necessary code to enable you to build your own Muse gadgets.

⚠️ WARNING: Tinkering with hardware carries inherent risks. Potential side effects include voided warranties, bricked circuit boards, electrical brownouts, or even financial bankruptcy.

Getting Started

  • Acquire an SDK token.
  • Browse our featured project concepts.
  • (Optional) Develop support for a completely new hardware board.

Available SDKs

  1. ESP32 Device SDK ↗: Link your ESP32 board to Muse. You can integrate screens for imagery, implement audio I/O, or connect various sensors.
  2. Linux Device SDK ↗: Convert a Raspberry Pi or any Linux-based machine into a gadget. You can program custom commands to manage sysadmin tasks or integrate with your Home Assistant ecosystem.

🔌 02 / Official Hardware

Muse Home Link

If you prefer a pre-built solution, the Muse Home Link connects your Muse to your local Wi-Fi. This enables communication with existing compatible devices or any custom hardware utilizing a local HTTP API.
