We are increasingly troubled by the reliance of direct-action organizers on surveillance-heavy platforms. Believing that basic cryptographic literacy is a vital tool for our peers, we have released a second installment of the Rabbit Waves series. This month's focus: One-Time Pads for secure message encryption and decryption.

🎮 Software & Events

Donsol: A decade after its debut, we've launched a definitive edition. This version features:
- Animated sprites.
- A comprehensive in-game manual.
- Availability via browser or any Uxn emulator.
Oredev 2026: Devine traveled to Sweden to present on the topic of software archival. Most of the month was dedicated to drafting talk notes and slides.

🌲 Social & Sailing

August was unexpectedly social. Many friends converged in the north simultaneously, allowing us to reconnect, make new acquaintances, and spend our days trekking through the forests. However, the time has come to plan our voyage back south.

🗣️ Linguistics & Logic

This month's obsession was the transmission of coded messages—exploring encoding, noise interference, and the practicality of pen-and-paper methods. We've added a Rabbit Waves page featuring historical examples and hands-on exercises.

Furthermore, Devine issued an open call to the Concatenative programming community. The goal is to find developers willing to implement a POP-2 compiler for their languages, potentially reviving this 1970s relic as a lingua franca for various Catlang dialects.

Wiki Updates: Modified the iPad media station and solar cooking experiment pages.

🎨 Creative Works

Hakum: Launched a new comic arc titled Recharge and overhauled the second act of Chase.
Yufo: Polished our 2022 Virtual Pet Jam entry; it is now playable on itch.io via browser.
GrimGrains: Published a recipe for soybean coffee (an excellent caffeine alternative).

🕹️ Catjam 2026

We entered Catjam and produced Lepore Express Line, a point-and-click adventure.

Tech: Written in Uxntal (a 16-bit ordinator concatenative assembly).
Art: Devine handled backgrounds; Rek handled characters and foregrounds.
Easter Eggs: Contains various cameos from our previous works.

📶 The Struggle for Connectivity

Internet access on this coast is erratic. When the signal vanishes from our anchorage, we resort to extreme measures:

Hoist the hotspot high.
Hike up mountains through knee-high ferns.
Endure ants on our legs and eagles overhead.
Wait for the upload to finish.

Despite the hardship, we managed to check weather reports via Lynx, send texts, and push code to our repositories.

🧠 Summer Projects & Peano

These "summer projects" are driven by intrinsic curiosity. Devine has been exploring the work of Giuseppe Peano, specifically his efforts to encode logic for universal communication. Devine is currently:

Formalizing Peano's Latino Sine Flexione using BNF (Backus-Naur Form).
Expanding on the axioms of natural numbers, such as: $\forall n \in \mathbb{N}, \text{ there exists a successor } S(n)$

Wiki Updates: This month saw some ~~successes~~ failures.

Maintenance: Our outdoor pressure sprayer (used for dishes and showering) cracked. We applied large amounts of LifeCalk to the gaps; surprisingly, it is still holding.

📖 Media & Comics

No Bears None: Fixed textual errors and updated the .epub to include the cover art.
Rabbit Waves: Added a new comic page featuring Hazy (the rabbit) and Ark (the gull). The homepage was restructured to prioritize story pages, and colored elements now act as hyperlinks to knowledge bases.
